No, Classic Liberals Australia is not just another political party offering a slight modification to the common factor of central control. Some are just a bit more socialist than others, wanting more central control. In other words, the incumbents all want parent-child, master-servant, top-down governance. Classic Liberals Australia is very different.
Classic Liberals Australia eschews central control, preferring a separation of State and the economy and requires government to treat us (Australians) equally and as adults capable of making our own decisions.
Also, a Classic Liberals Australia government (unlike all the other political parties) will ensure our judiciary is accountable to us Australians. Currently, judges have effective immunity. They can be biased, dishonest, have a reckless disregard of evidence and make poor decisions yet face no adverse consequences. That is totally unacceptable. It is a major flaw in our system of government.
Absolutely, our system of government is broken. Wherever one looks – whether to our political class of career politicians, our executive arm of government, our judiciary or to our educational and medical sectors – one sees incompetence, corruption, an incestuous relationship between government and big business, and an abject failure to act in the interests of the Australian people.
In addition to that, our mainstream media have evolved from holding government to account, to spewing government propaganda and big-business lobbies for favours (grants, subsidies and protection) and pushes government narratives to increase their success rate. That is all unacceptable.
While history has shown free-market economics (capitalism) brings prosperity, a better quality of life and lifts more people out of poverty than another economic system, and while history has shown central control (socialism) to bring poverty, we have allowed successive governments to increase central control, increase socialism. Our economy and our average wealth have suffered as a result. For example, since 2013 our GDP per capita (to 2024) dropped by 5.7%, whereas many countries have enjoyed considerable growth, well into double figures. Singapore and the United States, for example, both increased by about 59%. So, the average wealth of their people increased almost 60%, ours dropped by almost 6%. (Source: World Bank)
Yes, it needs to be fixed urgently. Since we’re in a rapidly changing world, one likely to be more rapid and more dramatic than the industrial revolution, we do not have the luxury of time. To prosper through this period, we need a radically different style of government and need it urgently.
The problem cannot be fixed by treating the symptoms, by tinkering around the edges. A comprehensive change is needed. We need to abandon central control, give individuals the freedom to make their own decisions, free the economy from unnecessary regulatory controls, limit social welfare to those unable to work while depriving those who prefer it as a lifestyle choice, ensure all Australians are equal under law, that government appointments are merit based, that government protects us and our property, and ensures that its policies create an environment that provides work opportunities for those seeking them. We also need a judiciary that gives all of us effective and efficient access to justice and protects us against an abuse of power by government. In essence, we need a significantly smaller, more efficient government that holds far less power over us and frees us to make our own decisions – we are adults after all!
None of the established political parties will fix the problem – not the Liberals, not Labour, nor The Greens, One Nation or the Teals. Why, because they are all in favour of central control, just different levels of it. A Classic Liberals Australia government is the only one that will fix the problem. Unlike the others it wants a small, efficient and effective government that focuses on its core duty of keeping us safe and protecting our property from theft and damage and wants us Australians to be treated as adults capable to making our own decisions.
Under a Classic Liberals Australia government: Australia will become the freest market in the world and a haven for entrepreneurs and small businesses, resulting in our having the highest per capita GDP in the world. We will have a low taxation regime, the most transparent and least corrupt government, the most accountable judiciary, and a small, efficient and effective bureaucracy (executive arm of government). With this freedom comes responsibility – Classic Liberals Australia government will be tough on crime and anti-social behaviour.
Many political parties have drifted considerably from their core values, with some having moved so far that their stated values are mere empty rhetoric for them. This has come about because they look for and focus on what they believe will be popular, vote winning. Their focus is on winning the next election. That is not what Classic Liberals Australia is about! Our focus is not on winning elections; it is on doing what we believe is in the best interests of all Australians.
Given that we are on the cusp of the biggest social and economic upheaval in modern history, at least since the industrial revolution, it is bewildering that this topic, our future as a nation, is not at the forefront of every politician and bureaucrat’s mind. It does not even appear to be mentioned on the websites of our major political parties. We Australians will certainly not prosper by continuing to bumble along, paying scant (if any) attention to major risk events. Classic Liberals Australia’s plan for Australia will result in far greater prosperity for all of us. It is the only option.
